Naked and Nonbinary

The Society for Ethical Nudity

There are many people who prefer to live without clothing, to a greater or lesser extent. But for anyone who does so, there is a cloud over it, a societal taboo that insists that do to so is somehow shameful or dirty. While it is true that there are those for whom nudity is inseparable from sex, and sex from unruly behavior, those of that group who choose a nude lifestyle are a tiny minority of nudists. Unfortunately it's those who don't who are the worse problem - haunting nude beaches, spying on nudists, and engaging in sexual behavior in response to seeing a nude body. They are the ones who give a nudist lifestyle a bad name by their fascination with it.

The Society for Ethical Nudity is a freeform association of people who choose to live life in their natural state, and see that as a valid and honorable lifestyle choice. It's built around three principles, and if you are in harmony wth those principles, then you are a member of the Society.

The Three Principles of Ethical Nudity

  1. Nudity is our natural state and there is nothing immoral in living without clothing.
  2. An ethical nudist always limits their nudity to locations and situations where it is acceptable, and always respects the right of others not to be exposed to it.
  3. Similarly, an ethical nudist always limits expressions of their sexuality to locations and situations where it is acceptable and appropriate, and always respects the right of others not to be exposed to it.
